Florence Emma Leake was the daughter of Isabell Margaret Bellis and Walter Scott Leake of Ray County, Missouri. Her siblings were: George Washington, Albert Adolphus, Samuel Walter, Minnie Cordelia (Farris-Miller), Mary Jane (Penniston), Rufus Emmet, Gustavus Leonadus and Otha Monroe.
The Leake family originally comes from England, settling in Goochland County, Virginia. This line of the family settled in Virginia before 1690, in Kentucky before 1790, and Missouri before 1840.
Florence did not marry or have children. She died at age 82.
