Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic church. The Rev. H. P. Toeller, pastor, will officiate and interment will take place at Hillside.
A rosary service will be held at the residence Friday night at 8:30 o'clock.
Mrs. Herkert, nee Friedarika Haas, was born in Volkeslier, Bavaria, Germany, on Nov. 30, 1863. She came to the United States on May 11, 1884, and was married to John Herkert at Columbus, Wis., on Jan. 11, 1886. After their marriage the couple came to the city of Marshfield, where they resided two years before moving to the .present farm home,
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Haun sr., Spalding, Nebr., and Miss Frieda Herkert, at home; and five sons, Carl, John jr., Louis, Albert, and Edward, all of Marshfield. One daughter, Anna, died on April 18, 1935.
