Albert Herkert, 84, Marshfield, died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, where he was admitted Nov. 1.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Peter J. Leketas officiating. Mrs. Frank Wesley will be the organist, and Carol Wesley, the soloist. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Great nephews win be pallbearers.
Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday until service time, at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel. Sacred Heart Parish will say the rosary at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral chapel.
A life-long Marshfield resident, he was born May 16, 1900 in Marshfield, a son of the late John and Friedarika (Haas) Herkert Sr. He received his education in St. John's Parochial School. A single man, he farmed his entire life at 2105 S. Washington Ave. After retiring he continued to live there until entering the Marshfield Convalescent center this past May 22.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include two brothers, Louis and Charles Herkert, both of Marshfield.
He was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.
