Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. George Passehl officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery.
The body will repose at the Rembs Funeral Home beginning Thursday evening. A general rosary service will be held there at 8:15 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Herkert was born in Marshfield, July 25, 1895, and received his education here. As a young man he worked in Chicago, Ill., and Walla Walla, Wash., returning here about 25 years ago. Since that time he had been employed at the Roddis Plywood Corporation. He was unmarried.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society and of St. Hubert's Society.
He is survived by four brothers, Charles, Louis, Albert and Edward Herkert, all of Marshfield, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Haun, Spaulding. Neb.
Two sisters preceded him in death.
