Chester, W.Va. -- Mrs. Beulah Belle Barmer, 80, of Railroad St. was pronounced dead on arrival at City Hospital at 8 p.m. Sunday following a long illness. Mrs. Barmer was born Jan 14, 1902, in Chester, a daughter of George A. Allison and Alice M. Boyd Allison. She worked at the former Taylor, Smith and Taylor China Co., and was retired in 1954 from the Homer Laughlin China Co. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Chester. Her husband, Albert Barmer, died in June 1971. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Alice Manypenny of New Cumberland, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Ross of Chester and Mrs. Clara Wilson at home, three brothers, Frank Allison and Hugh Allison, both of Chester, and Harry Allison of Wellsville; a sister, Mrs. Mildred White of Canton, Ohio, seven grandchildren and 11 great - grand-children. Services are to be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel by Pastor William Gilliland. Burial is to be in New Manchester Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and night. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Visiting Nurses, 263 W. 7th St., East Liverpool.
