Hugh L. Allison 79, of Virginia Avenue, Chester, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 1989, at the Weirton Medical Center following a brief illness. The Arner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete.

Hugh Allison, 79, Retired Potter
Services are planned Tuesday for Hugh L. Allison, 79, formerly of Virginia Avenue, Chester, who died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 1989, at Weirton Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Hookstown Sept. 20, 1909, a son of the late George A. Allison and Alice M. Boyd Allison. Mr. Allison was employed 40 years at the former Taylor, Smith and Taylor China Co. before retiring, and was a member of the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers International Union. Survivors include a son, John Ray Allison of Warren, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Gretchen) Brewer of Dyer, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Mildred White of Newell; and six grandchildren. Minister Joe Kelley of the Chester First Christian Church is to conduct the services at 11 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel. Burial is to be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel this afternoon and evening.
