Dale Allison Drops Dead At Cambridge
Dale W. Allison, 50, native of Hookstown and a potter for over 30 years, dropped dead in Cambridge Friday night about 8 while attending a meeting of the Municipal Civil Service Commission, of which he was a member. Mr. Allison, who was born Feb. 13, 1904, at Hookstown to the late George A. and Alice Boyd Allison, had resided for 30 years in Cambridge, where he was a turner at the Atlas China Co. He had been in failing health for five years and two weeks ago had returned home after treatment in University Hospital at Columbus. He worked at the Taylor, Smith & Taylor Co., before going to Cambridge about 1924. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Goldie Allison; whom he married in Cambridge; four brothers, John T. Allison, Frank Allison and Hugh Allison of Chester, and Harry Allison of Wellsville, and four sisters, Mrs. Ola Weaver, Mrs. Beulah Farmer and Mrs Mildred White of Chester, and Mrs. Etta Brooks of East Liverpool. Services will be held in a Cambridge funeral home Monday afternoon at 2 and burial will be there.
