Vols.3&4 p.687 - Rebecca Hobson Committed by Isaac N. Senter Judge of Santa Clara May 24th 1867. Age 34 years; native of Indiana; married and has one child; was last from Indiana; occupation, housewife. She is insane continuously in talk and actions; is neither homicidal, suicidal nor incendiary; insanity first appeared about ten and a half years ago; is getting more and more simple and childish; has no rational intervals; has no disposition to injure others. She is habitually filthy. It is supposed that her mother was insane; had no peculiarities; has been temperate; has not suffered from disease or injury; health generally good; cause of insanity, child birth; class, melancholia. She has been in this Asylum twice. See pages 279 Book A and page 425 same book. Admitted May 29th 1867. Has property. Died October 29th 1869 of consumption (tuberculosis).

Vols.3&4 p.688 - Stephen Hobson. Committed by Isaac N. Senter Judge of Santa Clara May 24th 1867. Age 38 years; native of North Carolina; married and has one child; was last from North Carolina; occupation Brick Mason. The evidence of insanity is he talks unreasonably; is neither homicidal, suicidal nor incendiary. This attack first appeared ten years ago; disease increasing with no perfectly rational intervals; has hallucinations on the subject of his business; has no disposition to injure others; is filthy in his habits; had no insane relations - no peculiarities; uses tobacco excessively; has not suffered from disease or injury; recently his feet swell; cause of insanity, trouble with his wife's insanity; class, melancholia; has been in this Asylum before; see Book A, page 279. Admitted May 29th 1867. Has property. Discharged October 9th 1867 by order of County Judge.
