THE DEATH OF CHARLES PAUL RUSK
(1919-2002) - Charles Paul Rusk, 81, of Lafayette died August 5, in St Elizabeth Medical Center. He was born February 1, 1919 in Lafayette. He was a Stockwell High School graduate. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving in World War II. He married Luella Kirts on July 12, 1954 in Lebanon. She preceded him in death on December 19, 1998. Mr. Rusk retired in 1968 as a Lafayette firefighter after 20 years of service. He moved to Florida in 1972 and returned to Lafayette in May 2000. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sebring, Florida. Mr. Rusk is survived by a son, Alan Rusk and his wife Cindy of Lafayette; a daughter, Sharon Diemer and her husband Tom of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson and Jason Rusk. He was preceded in death by for brothers and a sister. Hippensteel Funeral Home handled arrangements with Pastors Mark Dutton and Bret Aucoin officiating. Interment Rest Haven Memorial Park.
