Mrs. Laura Hosie Treman, 78, of 411 University Avenue, died May 20, 1944. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Treman, a merchant and philanthropist. The Tremans were known for their contributions to the State of New York, Cornell University and the City of Ithaca.

Mrs. Treman was a member of the Choral Club. She was a musician and known for playing the harp at the Presbyterian Church. She was director of the Children's Home and the Ladies Union Benevolent Society.

She is survived by two sons, Robert E. and Allan H. Treman; five grandchildren, Elaine, Barton, Elizabeth, Laura and Carol Treman, all of Ithaca.

The pastor of the Presbyterian church will officiate at the services. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
