Robert Henry Treman, 78, died at home.

He was a son of the late Elias Treman and Elizabeth Lovejoy Treman, and a great-grandson of Abner Treman, Revolutionary War soldier and founder of Trumansburg, New York.

He was a graduate of Cornell University, Class of 1878. He was chairman of the Finger Lakes State Parks Commission, 1923-1937.

Mr. Treman was survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Hosie Treman; two sons, Robert E. Treman and Allan H. Treman; three grandchildren, Elaine, Barton, and Laura Treman; three nieces, Miss Eugenia Van Cleef, Mrs. A.W. Booth of Elmira, and Mrs. Townsend Wainwright of Rye; two nephews, Arthur B. Treman and Charles E. Treman.

His body will lie in state in the First Presbyterian Church, where funeral services will take place. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
