Robert H. Adams, 78, of Adrian RD 1 died at 9 p.m. Friday (May 28, 1965) in his home following a lingering illness. Mr. Adams was born Sept. 2, 1886 in Templeton, the son of Henry and Sara Ann (Anthony) Adams. A coal miner for over 50 years, he was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Isabelle May (Curtis) Adams; five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Woods of Garrett, Mrs. S. W. (Margaret) Carrick of Homestead, Mrs. Charles (Lucille) Wilson of Church Valley, Pittsburgh, Mrs. Mertie Olenchak of Chicora RD 1 and Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Clever of Adrian RD 1; four sons, Arthur Adams of Templeton RD 1, Robert Adams of Windber RD 1, James Adams of Stoystown RD 2, and Charles F. Adams of Chicora RD 2; 34 grandchildren; 19 great - grandchildren; one brother, James Clifford Adams of Rimersburg, and one sister, Mrs. Lovie Mae Waugaman of Cleveland, Ohio. Two daughters, Jenny Marie Adams and Betty Louise Adams, preceded him in death. ADAMS — Friends of Robert H. Adams of Adrian RD 1, who died at 9 p.m. Friday (May 28, 1965) in his home following a lingering illness, will be received at the Alonzo P. Merwin Funeral Home, Kittanning after 7 p.m. Saturday. Family visitation hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Rev. Raymond A. Taylor, pastor of the Reesedale and Limestone Churches of God, will officiate at the 2 p.m. service on Monday In the funeral home. Burial will be made in Cochran Cemetery. Arrangements by Merwin.
