Margarette Marie Mildfeldt
TOPEKA — Margarette Marie Mildfeldt, 95, Topeka, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006.

Mrs. Mildfeldt was born Margarette Marie Harrison on Aug. 11, 1911, in Clay County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William George, in 1971; five sons; and a daughter.

Survivors include seven daughters, Cynthia Sherbert of Salina, LaVonna Mildfeldt and Mae Ann Gertsch, both of Creston, Wash., Judy Luarks-Mildfeldt and Cornelia Moon, both of Topeka, LaWanda Lemons of Maple Hill and Cellestine Newman of Humboldt; four sons, Forrestine Mildfeldt of Minden, Neb., Ernest Mildfeldt and Kenneth Mildfeldt, both of Topeka, and Arthur of Elwood; a sister, Florence Zentz of Manhattan; 56 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Chapel, 918 Seventh, Clay Center 67432. Burial will be in Swedish Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Clay County.

Memorials may be made to Margarette Mildfeldt Memorial Fund to be designated later, in care of the funeral home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.


Margarette is my aunt.
She is the daughter of Charles Henry and Frances Olive (Kipp) Harrison.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters: Leo, Alvin, Don, Gertude, Ruth, Vera, June, Norma and Lucy.
