She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Wray Sr. in 2002; five brothers and her sister, Charlotte Kyea. She was survived by her daughter, Charlotte Ingraham, Endicott, New York; three sons, Thomas Jr. and Mary Jane Slusser, Vestal, Jerry and Christine Wray, Massachusetts, Richard Wray, Rochester, New York; three grandchildren, Paul Ingraham, Jessica Wray and Lisa Zeitouni; two great-grandchildren, Mandalyn and Hope Ingraham; two sisters, Marlene Kyea and Gertrude Klubertanz; two brothers, Floyd Kyea and Marvin Kyea; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Virginia worked as a cook at Ross Corners Elementary School in Vestal. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal, where she donated her time to special events. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, watching her grandchildren and cooking.
A funeral Mass was offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Holy Name Church, Au Sable Forks, New York.
