Survivors included his wife, Carolyn, of Au Sable Forks; one daughter, Linda Tedford of Galway, New York; two granddaughters; his parents, of Au Sable Forks; six brothers, Floyd of Rochester, New York, Paul of Plattsburgh, Roger of Au Sable Forks, Leonard of Plattsburgh, Robert of Au Sable Forks and Marvin of Au Sable Forks; three sisters, Virginia Raye of Vestal, New York, Gertrude Kalubertanz of Rochester and Marlene Kyea of Glens Falls, New York.
The Au Sable Forks Fire Department met at 7 p.m., February 24, 1983, at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home in Au Sable Forks. The American Legion held a service at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.
The funeral was held Friday, February 25, 1983, at 11 a.m. at the Holy Name Church in Au Sable Forks. Burial was later in the parish cemetery.
