William C. McElroy
Garden City - William C. McElroy, 78, died June 27, 1983, at his home after a long illness. Born Oct. 11, 1904, at Sylvia, he married Chelsea Willson Oct. 17, 1926, at Deerfield. He was a retired bulding contractor and had been a Garden City resident since 1925.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Tyrian Masonic Lodge No. 246 AF & AM, Garden City Chapter No. 83 Royal Arch Masons, Finney Historical Society, all of Garden City.
Survivors: widow, of the home; daughters, . . . [five]; brother, Glen, Lamar, Mo.; sister Vi McElroy Smith, Garden City; seven grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church; the Rev. Calvin Hartman. Masonic graveside rites at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City. Friends may call Tuesday and until noon Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Memorials to Masonic Oncology Center, in care of the funeral home.
