MRS. COOK DIES SUNDAY
Mrs. Elizabeth Cook, 82, died Sunday night at the Clemens Nursing Home, 405 W. Church St., after an illness of one and one half years.
She was born March 3, 1877, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Lang) Plate. In 1899 she was married to John Dusty Cook in Vermont, Ill., and she came to Marshalltown following his death in 1951.
Surviving are an adopted son Dwight Plate of Marshalltown, a half-brother, Charles Plate of Macomb, Ill., and a number of grandnieces and grand nephews.
A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Pursel-Davis Memorial Chapel. The Rev. C. Wayne Overholser will be in charge and burial will be later in Ipava, Ill.
