William Plate, 84, Dies Early Today in Graham Hospital
Astoria, April 27 - William Plate, Age 84, retired farmer, residing near Astoria, died about 12:40 am today in the Graham hospital where he had been a patient since Saturday. Death was due to a heart aliment.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dec. 4, 1863, a son of Henry and Elizabeth (Lang) Plate, he was married to Miss Sarah Janette Clark who survives.
The following children survive, Don and Fred, Astoria; Mrs. Beulah Fordyce, Orion; and Mrs. Luzetta Kennedy, Table Grove. He was a member of the German Reformed Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Astoria, with burial in Ipava cemetery. Friends may call at Horton's Funeral home until the hour of services.
