26 May 1952: Levi Kreider, 80, a retired farmer and carpenter, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mabel Krall, of Buffalo Springs. Born in what was then Cornwall Township, he was a son of the late John and Lizzie Smith Kreider. In early years he was a farmer in North Annville Township and his last employment was as a carpenter in the employ of Daniel Wenger, contractor. He was a member of the Annville Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie (Kreider) Kreider; five sons-Howard and Paul, of Cleona; Michael, of Lebanon; Harry, of Lebanon Route 1, and John, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Krall, of Buffalo Springs; Mrs. Elmer Sattazahn, of Hershey, and Mrs. John Gibble, of Myerstown. Preceding him in death were three daughters and a son; Edna, wife of John Mengle, Florence and Elizabeth Kreider, and Herman Kreider. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jonas Kreider of Midway, and three sisters, Mrs. Leah Heisey, Lebanon Route 5; Mrs. Moses Kreider, Lebanon Route 4; and Mrs. Irvin Allwein, Palmyra.
