Jack Herbold passed away on Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tenn., as a result of pulmonary fibrosis

He was born on Jan. 27, 1938, in Lewistown, to the late William and Mary Langevin Herbold. He attended Flathead County High School and graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a degree in accounting.

Following military service, he spent several years working as an accountant. He and his wife Judy also owned and operated a restaurant in Cookeville for eight years. Upon retirement, he owned and operated a successful locksmith business in Cookeville.

He was a member of the Trinity Assembly in Algood. He openly shared his Christian faith with his family, friends, fellow workers and acquaintances.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Leonard Herbold, and a sister, Joan Herbold.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Judy Herbold of Cookeville; two sons, Mitch Herbold and Tim Henley of Cookeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Steve Lowe of Cookeville; grandchildren, Samantha and Brandi Lowe, Caleb and Haley Herbold and Chance Henley; brothers, Lester Herbold
of Stanford, and Mervin and Richard Herbold of Kalispell; sisters, Bea Swan of Milwaukie, Ore., Billie Bonner and June O'Connor of Eureka, and Karen Emerson and Janet Rose of Kalispell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral and burial service were held in Cookeville on Jan. 18. He was buried with military honors.
