From the Great Falls Tribune, Sunday, June 2, 1991:

KALISPELL - Mary Ann Herbold, 88, of Kalispell, died from natural causes Wednesday in the Mountain View Manor in Eureka.

Rosary will be recited at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with burial in the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.

She was born in 1903. She received her education in Lewistown and later did ranch work there. She also worked at the Leland Hotel.

In 1920, she married William Herbold in Great Falls.

The couple lived at Benchland and in 1930, returned to Lewistown and lived at Grass Range. They moved to the Flathead Valley in 1948. She was a cook at the Flathead County Nursing Home for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include sons, Bill of El Paso, Texas, Mervin, Richard and Leonard, all of Kalispell, Jack of Algood, Tenn., and Lester
of Stanford; daughters, Billie Bonner and June O'Connor, both of Eureka, Bea Swan and Karen Emerson, both of Milwaukee, Wis., and Janet Rose of Kalispell; a sister, Lillian Widman of Lewistown; 37 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under direction of the Johnson Mortuary.
