COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Mitch Herbold, 29, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cookeville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. today, Friday, April 10, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Herbold died Monday, April 6, 2009, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 31, 1979, in Hendersonville to Judy Whittaker Herbold and the late Jack Herbold.

Mr. Herbold was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and was of the Baptist faith. He was currently employed as a bouncer at Monies and was into sales management.

Mr. Herbold was a loving son, brother and dad. He had numerous friends and loved playing and watching football with many of his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, his family includes a son, Caleb Herbold of Greenville; a daughter, Haley Herbold of Cookeville; a brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Rhiannon Henley of Cookeville; a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Steve Lowe of Cookeville; a niece, Samantha Lowe of Cookeville; a nephew, Chance Henley of Cookeville; and many cousins and aunts.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Mary Ann Langevin Herbold and Henry and Dimple Whittaker.

Pallbearers will be Russ Smith, Steven Ewing, Mike Dishman, Travis Burton, Nathan Ridley, Chris Godden, Josh Western and Chance Henley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Western and Matt Eldridge.

A memorial fund for Mitch Herbold has been set up with Putnam 1st Mercantile Bank.

Bro. Jim Moore will officiate at the services.
