Lucien Lee Prows of Woodstock, Pulaski County, Kentucky, died at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky after an illness of a few months. He was 70 years old.

He was born in Ocala, Kentucky.

He was a retired employee of National Distilleries. He was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church.

He was active in the Pulaski County Republican Party and was precinct chairman of the Hazeldell precinct.

He was an army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Science Hill Chapter No. 162 of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Post No. 38 of Somerset.

He was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of Woodstock Lodge No. 639 F. & A.M., Lexington Consistory Scottish Rite and the Oleika Shrine at Lexington.

He was survived by his wife, Ilene (Pitman) Prows (married January 29, 1954); his son, Douglas Prows of Sacramento, California; his daughters, Debra Elizabeth Roberts (and Andrew) of the Texas community and Lisa Lee Prows of Sacramento, California; his sisters, Bonnie Diamond of Indiana, Daisy Hargis, Merdell Burnett, Lou Etta Head, Lorene Head, Christine Wilburn, and Kathern Jones, all of Somerset, Kentucky and Dorothy Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph H. Prows and Martha Susan (Lee) Prows; and his brothers, Clarence Prows, Lindsey Prows, and Robert Prows.

Funeral services were held at Woodstock Baptist Church with Reverend Gene Hansford officiating.

Masonic services were held at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home by Woodstock Lodge No. 639 F. & A.M.
