She was a beautician and a homemaker. She was a 1957 graduate of Pulaski County High School and a graduate of Kaulfman Beauty School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a member of Southern Heights Christian Church.
She was survived by her husband, David Jones (married March 27, 1959 at the Science Hill Christian Church parsonage); her sons, Dylan D. (and Denise) Jones of Somerset, Kentucky and Roger D. (and Paula) Jones of Hamilton, Ohio; her daughters, Kathern Lynnelle Wood, Alison Jeanette Stringer, and Holly Rebeckah Susan Jones, all of Somerset, Kentucky; her sisters, Daisy (Prows) Hargis, Merdell (Prows) Burnette, Christine (Prows) Wilburn, and Louetta (Prows) Head, all of Woodstock, Pulaski County, Kentucky, and Dorothy (Prows) Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Harmon Prows and Martha Susan (Lee) Prows; her brothers, Clarence Prows, Lindsey Prows, Robert Prows, and Lucien Prows; and her sister, Bonnie (Prows) Diamond.
Funeral services were held at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Keith Short and Scott Brewster officiating.
