Mrs. Thompson, a native of Winnsboro where she was born April 17, 1920, was a member of the Pentecostal church. She died at 10:30 a.m. April 3, at Doctors hospital, Grove, Tex.
Surviving her are: her husband, Robert Thompson, Beaumont, Tex.; a son, Jessie Houston Burton [sic Barton], Vidor, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Brandon, Houston, Tex.; her mother, Mrs. Oscar Shipley, Winnsboro; three sisters, Mrs. D. W. Pippins, Brookhaven, Miss.; Mrs. Gordon Hilburn, Winnsboro, and Mrs. Merle Howard, Monroe; two brothers, C. L. and J. R. Shipley, both of Winnsboro; and two grandsons.
Pallbearers were Charlie Carroll, W. M. Keyes, Hilton Davis, Sal Coronado, J. R. Kiper, Jr., and Jimmie Korman.
