Ruby was born October 11, 1910 in Nelson, Minnesota the daughter of Hans and Annie Hanson. She attended grade school in Nelson and was baptized and confirmed by Pastor P. E. Ording at the Fahlun Lutheran Church. Ruby lived at her parents farm until 1935 and then moved to the East side of Lake LeHomme Dieu where she lived until the time of her death. Her occupation was a waitress and for many years she worked at Osterberg's Restaurant.
Ruby is survived by her two sons, Gordon of Alexandria and William of Glenwood, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mrs. Carl John (Ruth) Anderson, Alexandria, Mrs. Vivian Carpenter of Walnut Creek, California, 4 brothers, William and Lambert Hanson of Alexandria, Wallace Hanson of Brainers and Sidney Hanson of LaCrescenta, California. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Annie Hanson, 1 sister Florence and two brothers, Clarence and Raymond.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 25, 1972 at the Alexandria Covenant Church with Rev. Justin Dokken officiating. Pallbearers were Dennis Hanson, William Hanson, Jr., Michael Hanson, Carl V. Anderson, Thomas Krenz and Gary Ophaug. Interment was at Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria, Minnesota. Services were directed by the Alexandria Funeral Home.
