Raymond "Chuck" Hanson, 26 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans P. Hanson of Alexandria, was fatally injured yesterday (Wednesday) in a fall from a 60-foot tower at the Patteson tourist camp near Staples.
Raymond Hanson had been in the employ of the George P. Lord company of Alexandria for the past five years and was working for that company at the time of the accident.
He had gone to Staples with Mrs. Hanson early that morning to work on the job, and had gone upon the tower, evidently forgetting to fasten the safety hook on his climber's belt. At 9:45 he fell from the tower. His young wife heard him crying, and found him lying on the ground at the foot of the tower terribly injured. He was taken to a hospital in Staples at once, where he died that night.
George P. Lord went to Staples shortly after being notified of the accident.
Raymond Hanson was married two years ago in July to Dorothy Pottorff, a granddaughter of Mrs. Ed Reynolds.
