Scott Palmer Nussman Obituary published in “The Area News” Gillespie, Illinois on December 3, 1964:

Scott P. Nussman, 76, 322 North Macoupin Street, died suddenly at 1:15 o’clock Tuesday, November 24, following a heart attack suffered while in a filling station. Mr. Nussman, a longtime resident of Gillespie, was formerly employed in the mines, retiring some years ago as a hoisting engineer.
The son of Millard and Hattie Jennings Nussman, he was born January 29, 1888, at Palmer, Illinois.
He is survived by his widow, the former Nora Taylor, a son Jerald Nussman, Gillespie; one brother, Everett Nussman, Morrisonville; one sister, Mrs. Grace Ford, Rosewood Heights, and a granddaughter, Janis Nussman, Gillespie.
Funeral services were conducted from Gillespie Union Funeral Home, Friday afternoon, at 2:00 o’clock, with the Rev. J. Dallas Wallace, of the Gillespie Baptist Church officiating. Burial was made in Gillespie City Cemetery.
