Lois Bessie Vaught, age 94, of Albuquerque, retired in 1981 after 18 years as a bookkeeper with the Texas A&M Agricultural Station in Lubbock. After her husband died, she moved to Albuquerque to be nearer her two daughters. She loved the Lord, attending church, bible study, and gospel music. She was a doting "Nanny" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and opened her home to various family members who enjoyed extended stays throughout the years. Lois will be remembered by her family and friends who loved her as fiercely independent and a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who would give anything she had and would do anything she could for her family and friends. She was a lady who never wanted to be a bother to anyone and she will be missed immensely.

She married William Vaught on 25 March 1934 in Young County, Texas and they lived in Lubbock, TX, until Bill's death

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son-in-law, Don Van Meter; and four sisters: Alma Adams, Ruby Martin, Elsie LaRue, Garnet Otwell; and five brothers, Clyde Lynch, Frank Lynch, Jess Lynch, Elwin Lynch, and Carl Lynch.
