Emma Jean Cansler, age 80, of Donaldson, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born on July, 7, 1934 in Gum Springs, the daughter of the late Fletcher and Eunice Whitley Thomason. Jean was a seamstress and a member of Saginaw Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Josh Dyess, four brothers, Hershel, Charles, Carroll and John, four sisters, Edith, Grace, Lucille and Hazel.

Jean is survived by her husband Robert Cansler, one son, Steve (Sheila Williams) Dyess of Caney, one daughter, Kathy (Danny) Bowen of Benton, two step sons, Alan (Mary) Cansler and Mike (Pam) Cansler both of Friendship, two step daughters, Sherry (Darren) Parish of Midway and Diane (Kiah) Gardner of Russellville, one brother, Cecil (Shirley) Thomason of Caney, one niece Charlene (Larry) Becker of Knoxville, TN, eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2015 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Bro Alan Cansler officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Prairie Bayou Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Cansler, Darren and Donny Parish, Kiah Gardner, Danny Bowen and Corey Key.
