Carol I. Cheney, 73, of Carey, died at 11:13 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 at her daughters residence in Sycamore. Daughter of the late Clescent and Audrey (Stroub) Stapley, she was born October 9, 1941 in Carey, OH. She was previously married to Robert Pergram, Robert Baird and James Cheney. All three proceded her in death. Surviving are three children: Angela (Ken) Pryor of Sycamore, Robert (Lisa) Pergram of Carey, and Bradley (Amanda) Baird of Carey, ten grandchildren; Jamie (Matt), Travis, Tyler, Bryce, Justina, Maddie, Bradley, Zack, Troy, and Caleb, two great-grandchildren; Judah and Jeremiah, and three brothers; Ron and Carl Stapley of Carey and Joseph Stapley of Upper Sandusky. A brother, Ed Stapley preceded her in death. Carol graduated from Carey High School in 1960. She retired from Blanchard Valley Hospital after many years. Family and friends will be received 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME in Carey. A Graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Dana B. Wagner officiating.
