Joseph D. Stapley, age 67, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away May 2, 2016 at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky. Joe was born December 25, 1948 in Carey, Ohio, to Clescent and Audrey (Stroub) Stapley, both are deceased. He is survived by his children, Penny Rai of Alexandria, Louisiana, Jolene Miller of Upper Sandusky, Elisha Stapley of Findlay, Joe "JC" (Heather) Stapley of Vacaville, California, and 9 grandchildren, a brother, Ronald (Virginia) Stapley of Carey. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Carl and Edward Stapley and a sister, Carol Cheney. He retired the former Budd Company of Carey. Visitation will be held May 5, 2016 at 4pm to 6pm at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with a service to follow at 6pm with Rev. Rodney Donohoo officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to a Charity of the Donors Choice and can be sent to Lucas Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351
