Mt. Pleasant - Ernest Lorenzo Olsen, 40, farmer, died in a Salt Lake hospital Friday of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been in ill health for more than a year.
Mr. Olsen was morn in Moroni, May 12, 1905, a son of Issac and Vernie Christensen Olsen. He was educated in Moroni and Mt. Pleasant schools and married Iva P. Nielsen of Mt. Pleasant December 26, 1923, in the Manti LDS temple.
Surviving Mr. Olsen are his widow; six daughters, Mrs. Fern Nyman, Mrs. Ardath Haynes, Miss Carma Olsen, Miss Sharlene Olsen, Miss Pamela Olsen and Miss Sandra Olsen; two sons, Lloyd and Blain Olsen, all of Mt. Pleasant; his parents, Nephi; the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Peter Jordan, Ogden; Mrs. James Jordan, Mrs. Gerald Drake, Salt Lake City; Mrs. George Johnson, Miss Velda Olsen, Mrs. Lester Neff, Nephi; Mrs. Harold Anderson, Greenriver, Emery county; Mrs. Sherman Olsen, Ephriam; Mrs. Phil Johansen, Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Pleasant South LDS ward chapel by J.S. Jensen, bishop. Friends may call at the family home Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant City cemetery, directed by Ursenbach Funeral Home.
