Arabell Fox Rose, age 89 of the Springville community of North Tazewell, VA died peacefully at her home Wednesday morning, February 18, 2015. Born February 1, 1926 at Tazewell, VA, she was a daughter of the late James and Myrtle Adeline Williams Cornwell. She attended Grace Full Gospel Church at Adria, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gratton Fox, Sr.; second husband, Robert Rose; one daughter, Mildred Chapman; six brothers, Rufus Cornwell, Robert Cornwell, William Cornwell, Frazier Cornwell, Ralph Cornwell, and Joe Cornwell; two sisters, Mae Rose and Marie Sheets.
Left to remember her love and life are three sons, Gratton Fox and wife, Freda and James Fox and wife, Rita all of Springville, VA, and Freddy Rose and wife, Sandi of Manassas, VA; two daughters, Janice Crawford and Ginney Vance and husband, Mickey all of Tazewell, VA; two sisters, Margaret Phillips of North Carolina and Mary Faye Rose and husband, George of Baptist Valley, VA; one brother, John Cornwell of Baptist Valley; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and her loving companion, her dog, Lucy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with Pastor Carol Cornwell officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, VA. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 PM Friday, February 20, 2015.
