Donald E. McAllister, age 71, of Branson, Mo., passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, in his home. He was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Burt County, Neb., to Bill and Pearl Little McAllister. A Korean War Marine Corps veteran, Mr. McAllister worked in sales and owned a small business. On Dec. 21, 1952, he married Jean Marie Beck in Decatur, Neb. He was a member of Branson United Methodist Church and the Branson Metro Club. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Jean, of the home; his children and their spouses, Michael and wife Lyndell McAllister of Longview, Texas, Gary McAllister of Blue Eye, Mo., and Brenda and Kraig Reuter of Rogersville, Mo; brother Paul and wife Beverly McAllister of Sioux City, Iowa; sister Louise and husband Steve Serbeck of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Jared and Andrea McAllister, and Kyle, Matthew and Kayla Reuter; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, in Branson United Methodist Church with Don Keithley officiating. Burial will follow in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery.
