ISAIAH H. BRUCE — PETERSBURG — Isaiah Henry Bruce, 85, of Petersburg, WV, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, due to the results of an automobile accident.

He was born October 10, 1923, in Grant County, he was a son of the late Isaiah H. "Pete" Bruce, Sr., and Mary F. (Howard) Bruce. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia T. (Clifford) Bruce, on Jun. 16, 2009, due to the results of this accident, two brothers, Virgil Bruce and Ashton Bruce, and a sister, Evelyn Thomas.

He was a member of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Petersburg.

Surviving are five brothers, Marvin Bruce, of Mitchellville, MD, Ernest Bruce, of Ohio, Milford Bruce and James Bruce, both of Keyser, and Thomas Bruce, of Suitland, MD; two sisters, Rosa Hollingsworth and Frances Mabin, both of Keyser.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Schaffer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Petersburg.

Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg.
