Amanda was born April 8, 1862, to LTM and Angeline Glenn Plummer. She married William Thomas Guthrie on May 29, 1881, in Limestone County, Texas. She died October 5, 1945, in Mexia, Texas. William and Amanda had five children: an unnamed infant, Susie Guthrie (Plummer Cemetery), Thomas V (Plummer Cemetery), Jo Ann Davis (Plummer Cemetery), and Mary Jane "Mollie" Hinchliffe (buried in Mexia City Cemetery).
