Charles Wesley Laabs, born in Virginia, Minnesota on April 16, 1883, passed away July 22, 1925. Anna and Wesley were married in Davenport on Feb 26, 1903. They lived in Davenport where Lawrence was born on March 12, 1904; moved to Anna's folks farm where Viola was born on Dec 3, 1907; moved to Eltopia, WA where they bought a quarter section of land, 11 miles northwest of the Eltopia homestead, and built a two-room shack covered with tar paper. They later added another room to it. They moved three miles north of this before Geneva was born on June 3, 1911. In 1915 they moved 12 miles southwest of Odessa, WA to the California Fruit Ranch, a wheat farm. Leonard was born here on Sept 4, 1917. In 1921 they moved to Odessa for one year and then to Harrington before Eugene was born there in 1923. Wesley died in 1925 at Grandpa Timm's house. Anna married William Parr in 1940 and they were divorced in 1941. Anna moved to Seattle to be near her children and worked there for more than 16 years as a nurses' aid.
