(excerpt Spokesman Review, undated) "Funeral services for Mary Dorthea Timm Warwick, 90, of Harrington, were held Tuesday, Sept 1, in the Harrington Community Congregational Church. Rev John Brandon, her neighbor, officiated. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrington. She died in her home in Harrington, Friday, Aug 28, 1987. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denny, in 1976. Mrs. Warwick's parents, August W and Dorthea Buhr Timm immigrated from Germany in 1888, and settled near Harrington, where Mary was born on Nov 14, 1896. She was the seventh of thirteen children and the last surviving. She married Denny R Warwick, son of another pioneer family on Nov 18, 1915. Denny and Mary farmed in Lincoln County for over thirty years. In 1947 they retired from the farm his parents had homesteaded, six miles east of Harrington. Their daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Floyd Morse continued on the farm until they retired in 1976. At that time, their son and daughter-in-law, Courtney and Karen Morse began farming. During her lifetime, Mrs. Warwick enjoyed working in her yard, playing bridge and bowling. She was a charter member of the Bluestem Grange, a member of the Women's Fellowship of the Harrington Community Congregational Church and a Past Matron of Bright Hope Chapter, OES. She was also a ground observer for the Air Defense Command during World War II. Last November, she celebrated her 90th birthday with an open house at her home, at which time she enjoyed visiting with many friends and relatives. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Floyd Morse, Harrington; grandson and his wife, Courtney and Karen Morse, Harrington; granddaughters and their husbands, JoAnn and Jack Evans, Richland ; Patricia and James Felton, Richland ; four great grandchildren, Lindsey and Carly Morse, Harrington, and Amy and Jeffrey Evans,Richland; brother-in-law, Lyle C. Bailey, Harrington; sister-in-law, Lucile Timm, Spokane; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pall bearers for the service were Chester Timm, Duane Timm, Robert V, Adams, Bill Oestreich, George Carpy and Ed Clingenpeel." ( Davenport Times: 9-10-1987)
