She was born May 28, 1929 in Fairmount, and lived in Summitville since 1951.
Mrs. Elsworth was a homemaker, and devoted herself to the care and nurturing of her family. She enjoyed flower gardening and was a significant part of her grandchildren's lives.
Survivors include a daughter, Elwood; two sons, both of Summitville; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; three brothers; two sisters; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Virgil, in 2008; a son, Terry; brothers, Donald Butcher, Bernard Butcher, and Fred Butcher; and sister Addie Oswalt.
Services were Thursday, Nov. 6 in a Summitville funeral home, with pastor Gary McCaslin officiating.
Interment was in Vinson Cemetery.
