Travis Allen & Linda Diane (Elsworth) York, were taken suddenly from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Colorado on Tuesday July 2, 2019.
Allen, 61, was born in Elwood, IN on Dec. 25, 1957, the son of the late Travis & Nancy (Blanton) York. Allen graduated from Madison Grant High School in 1976. He was employed with General Cable in Marion, IN.
Linda, 59, was born in Anderson, IN on February 12, 1960, the daughter of the late Virgil & Bertha( Butcher) Elsworth. Linda was employed with Progressive Plastics in Elwood, IN.
Allen & Linda were high school sweethearts. They married on February 19, 1977 and enjoyed 42 years of marriage together.
Allen & Linda enjoyed riding motorcycles. They would travel cross country every year visiting different destinations. They loved being with their family, especially spending time with their grandchildren and having family get togethers. Allen & Linda will be sadly missed by family and friends, but their love will remain with us forever.
Allen & Linda's family legacy includes their two daughters, Heather (Fiancee Kip Petree) York of Indianapolis IN and Staci (Tyler) Vinson of Elwood, IN, six grandchildren, Adeana, Jordan, Olivia & Zachary Winslow, Lily & Mason Vinson, two great grandchildren, Rylinn & Waylon Kareken, Allen's five sisters, Penny (Mary) York of Muncie,IN, Diana (Steve) Sickman of Fairmount, IN, Cynthia York of Shelbyville, IN, Pamela (Bill) Couch of FL, and Marla (Bill) Vardaman of FL, sister in law, Jill (Todd) Taylor of Elwood, IN, and Linda's two brothers, Gerald Elsworth and Kim (Nina) Elsworth both of Summitville, IN and several nieces, nephews & close friends.
Travis was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dean York and a sister, Lana Jo York. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Terry Lee Elsworth.
Funeral service celebrating Allen & Linda's life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S Anderson Street, Elwood, IN with Pastor Al Soultz officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery.
