Gola Butcher, 80, Fairmount, who died at 9:30 p.m. Sun. in a Marion nursing home. Mr. Butcher was a native of Hartford City, but had spent most of his life in Fairmount. He was a retired railroad worker. Surviving are his wife, Alice; 4 daughters, Mrs. Edward (Addie) Oswalt, Mrs. Jack (Carolyn) Combs, and Mrs. Bill (Rosann) Johnson, all of Marion, and Mrs. Virgil (Berta) Elsworth, Summitville; 6 sons, Fred, of Marion, Bernard, Cicero, Ill., Phillip, Don, and James, all of Fairmount, and Joe, Jonesboro; 28 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 gr-great-grandchildren. The Robert Melling officiated at the services and burial was in Park Cemetery.
