Two grave stones with different death dates. The War memorial stone has a death date of Nov. 3, 1945 a Saturday. Whereas the other stone has he died Oct. 31, 1951 a Wednesday and his obit below says he died on a Wednesday and that he served 4 years and 7 months in the Army. It appears Nov. 3, 1945 may have been his discharged date.

Alexious J. Befort, 33, Hays, died Wednesday at Anthony's Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Befort is survived by his widow Rose, and a 10 months old daughter, Gloria Ann and by these brothers and sisters: Clarence, William, Aloysious and Francis of Hays, Mrs. Adolph Gottschalk, LaCrosse, Mrs. Edwin J. Pfeifer, Hays, and Miss Irene Befort, Hays, Mrs. Jim Stals, Mrs. Norman England and Mrs. Fred England of New Bedford, Mass.

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Befort, served four years and seven months in the Army, eighteen months of that service having been overseas.

The funeral will be a military one from St. Joseph's church, Hays, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
