Susanna Whitener, the daughter of Benjamin Whitener and Mary Magdalena Whisenhunt, married Joseph Fisher May 18, 1808 in Lincoln Co., NC. Zion Lutheran Church records the births of four children: Margretta, Fronica "Fannie", Hannah Mull, and Benjamin Simpson Fisher. From her father's estate Susanna received two cows, saddle, large iron pot, small iron pot, dutch oven, skillet, two pewter plates, set of knives and forks, pepper mill, pair cotton cards, chest, two bed steads, one full bed, one spinning wheel, set of flat irons, tin bucket, coffee pot, washing tub, and one sow and pigs.

Susanna died sometime after the birth of Benjamin in 1820 and before Mar. 25, 1824 which is when Joseph married Saloma Weaver, daughter of Conrad Weaver and Elizabeth Margaret Hahn. Joseph and Saloma had five more children in the Zion Church records.
Susanna is probably buried at Zion Lutheran Church cemetery.
