Wanette resident Ellen Lillard, 84, died Thursday, Feb. 23, in Lexington.
Lillard was born to Murry and Zula (Barnes) Higgins July 14, 1921, in Wanette.
She attended Trousdale School.
Lillard married R.G. Lillard and was a homemaker.
She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in San Fernando, Calif, and lived in Wanette since moving back from California in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Martha Ann and Dan Flores of Oklahoma City; five sisters, Sylvia Pogue of Wanette, Mildred Eversole of Macomb, Bernice Swenson of Elgin, Texas, Ola Mae Clair of Wanette and Peggy Wustenberg of Wanette; nieces and nephews, Stephen and Kaye Moore of Lexington, John Wustenberg of Duncan, Johnny Eversole of Maud, Betty Schmidth of Austin, Texas, Mike Higgins of Noble and Susie Higgins of Norman.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wanette Cemetery Chapel, with Doug Arnold and Doyle Loveland officiating.
Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery.
Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee is directing arrangements.
