"Mrs. Evelyn Taylor Brumfield of Jessamine County has received word from the War Dept. that her husband, Pfc. Moss W. Brumfield, 28, died of wounds received in Italy on October 25, 1944. Pvt. Brumfield had previously been reported missing in action. He entered the services Jan. 1, 1944 and went overseas last July. He is the son of Mrs.
Sarah Sanders of Woodford County and the late Buford Brumfield of this county. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by six sisters, three brothers and his maternal grandmother."
