LOWVILLE-Sarah (McCue) Tiffany, resident of Brookside, formerly of Glenfield, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2014 in the care of her loving family and Lewis County Hospice. She graduated from Lowville Academy in 1943 and went to work for the Agricultural Conservation Office until her marriage to Donald E. Tiffany on September 27, 1945. They were married at the Trinity Episcopal Church with Walter Bennett officiating. After their marriage, they lived in Romulus, Michigan where Donald was a pilot with the United States Air Force. Upon his discharge, they settled in Glenfield. In 1964, Sarah started an enjoyable 25 years working for the United States Postal Service in Glenfield, first as Clerk and then as Postmaster until her retirement in 1989. She and Donald enjoyed many happy years of retirement at their cottage on Chase Lake.

Sarah is survived by her children, son-in-law and grandchildren, as well as five great grandsons. She is also survived by her sister and brother, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Tiffany, son Ronald Tiffany and daughter Lori LaFave, as well as siblings Mary Kelly (James), Robert McCue (Marie), Doris Stanton (Arthur), John McCue, and Shirley Adydan (Chester), brothers-in-law Harold Tiffany and Raymond Gordon, and sister-in-law Dorothy Tiffany.

Sarah was very proud of her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed cooking, and making quilts and baskets which are treasured by her family. Sarah was a member of the Glenfield United Methodist Church, an active member of the church women's group, and Treasurer of the Glendale Cemetery Association for many years.
