ELLA LOUISE WEISS PERRY was born on August 27, 1921 to Lawrence Richard and Elsie Lee (Walter) Weiss in Edmond, Okla. She passed from this earth on Jan. 7, 2006.
She married Leonard Jackson Perry on December 14, 1945. To this union four children were born, Jon Lawrence, Jana Louise, Seth Charles and Tamara Lee.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Jana, sister Merilea Smith, and brother Charles Weiss.
She is survived by son Jon and his wife Linda of Yukon, son Seth and his wife Millie of Midwest City, and daughter Tamara of Oklahoma City; a sister, Shirley Smeltzer of Edmond; brothers Ernest of Chipley, Fla., and twins Larry and Lanny Weiss of Edmond. Nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren survive her, and a great-great-grandchild is due in May.
Louise graduated from Edmond High School and attended Central State Teachers College. Louise loved the Lord and encouraged her children to obey the Gospel. She had been a member of the Edmond Church of Christ since 1927. She supported the World Bible Studies, Search and the Children's Home at Tipton, Okla.
Louise worked at Tinker Air Force Base during World War II in the wood shop, much life Rosie the Riveter.
She retired from Macklanburg-Duncan in 1986. She enjoyed traveling and was known for her beautiful cross-stitching and chocheting. She was a survivor, strong-willed and independent.
Funeral services will be held at the Edmond Church of Christ on Wed., Jan. 11, 2006 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond. (Matthews Funeral Home)
