I am a descendant of a Harvey George Sampson very little is known about Harvey he was married to Anna Riggs and Rachael Diane Cottrill all together he had 13 children that we know of John Riley Sampson is the yougest child of Harvey George Sampson and Rachel Diane Cottrill he was born in Calhoun Co W.Va the 06 Nov. 1877 he married Bertha Mae Beckler in Athens Co Ohio on 14 Nov 1903, John and Bertha had 5 children Mabel Sue, Elsie Fern,Ford, Luster, and Florence Wavelyn. Bertha died on 25 Dec. 1919, John Riley Shot himself on 30 Dec 1934
They are buried in the Greenlawn Cemetry at Doanville Oh, Athens County. John Riley also had a daughter named Forrest Dove Sampson by a lady named Maude McClain, Forrest married Phillip Delong in Athens Ohio on 19 June 1920 in Athens Co Oh, Forrest died in Middletown Ohio 28 Jan 1976 and is buried in the Bear Creek Cemetry in Montgomery Co Ohio-Dayton
