Mrs. Lena Osborne Carr, 59 years, widow of Lawrence Carr of Ceylon Road, Carmichaels, died Tuesday, August 18, 1959, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. She had been ill a long time. Mrs. Carr was a daughter of Otho and Mary Gibson Osborne, and was born March 24, 1900, in Gilmer County, W. Va. She had resided at Carmichaels 31 years. Mrs. Carr was a member of the Greensboro Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are four daughters, Lucy, wife of Carl Morris of Carmichaels; Opal, wife of Donald Jackson; Isabelle, wife of John Mercer; and Rosalie, wife of Joe Wood, all of Akron, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Lovena Carr and Mrs. Merle Beason, both of Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Lynn Moody of Lynn, W. Va.; five brothers: Dewey of Carmichaels; Oakie of Morgantown, W. Va.; Stanley of Columbus, Ohio; Elden and Earnest, both of Akron, Ohio. Funeral services were held Friday in the Michael Lucas Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. R. E. Street. Interment in Laurel Point Cemetery.
